The Role

the Financial Reporting Manager is to effectively manage, lead and develop the team.  Proactively deliver on all Management and Statutory accounts, within the deadlines required.  Work efficiently with external auditors for clean annual audit sign-offs on the annual reports. Ensure a robust controls environment and maintaining a clean Balance Sheet. Leverage technology to develop and gain operational excellence to implement a more efficient reporting environment. Aid the Head of Accounting and CFO in decision making and for technical expertise.

You will also:

 

  • Managing the team in line with the company purpose and values, developing and motivating
  • Oversight of all financial reporting produced by the team, management accounts, statutory and ad-hoc
  • Hands-on approach to accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis, investigate and resolving issues
  • Oversee production of month-end close with accurate Management Accounts for the Group, with analysis for reporting
  • Oversight of Cost Centre reporting out to the business, identifying key messages, and providing insightful management discussion and analysis; lead in the oversight of the Change portfolio / project accounting
  • Oversight of production of other Regulatory reporting
  • Maintaining a robust control, reporting and analysis environment for the team

To be considered as Financial Reporting Manager, you will need:

  • Academic background, qualified accountant with five years PQE
  • Strong applied technical accounting experience
  • Acquisition accounting experience
  • Interpreting legislation and writing papers to Board level
  • Fluent in Statutory reporting, foreign entity consolidation and FX accounting
  • Project implementation / transformation experience including process improvements
  • Leadership experience with enthusiasm for coaching
  • Excellent Excel skills, analysis and manipulation of data 

A financial service background would be beneficial to your application, in particular in the area of lending to individuals or SMEs.
