FTC Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)

We’re now looking for a Management Accountant (FTC) to join our Finance team, partnering with colleagues across the business to deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial information.

The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced Finance function, acting as a Management Accountant and supporting core accounting and reporting activities.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial processes are delivered accurately and to deadline, whilst building strong working relationships across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including reconciliations and supporting schedules

• Assist with annual financial statements and external audit requirements

• Prepare and support accruals, prepayments, revenue and expense processes

• Reconcile allocated general ledger accounts, including suspense accounts

• Prepare and post routine journal entries with appropriate back-up

• Support VAT, interest and hedge accounting processes

• Assist with regulatory and periodic reporting requirements

Analysis & Reporting

• Produce and support financial and management reporting packs

• Assist with financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting

• Provide insight to stakeholders to support decision-making

Business Partnering & Team Support

• Work collaboratively across Finance and the wider business

• Support colleagues with both routine and ad hoc activities

• Maintain accurate financial data and documentation

What we’re looking for

Knowledge & Experience

• Part-qualified (ACCA/AAT) or qualified by experience

• Proven experience working within a financial accounting or reporting environment

• Strong understanding of UK GAAP principles

• Experience preparing financial reports and analysing data

Skills & Behaviours

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organisation and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively

• A proactive, adaptable approach with a continuous improvement mindset

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar systems

• Degree or equivalent qualification
